  9. Our BibleReader puts the Bible in your Palm Pilot, so you can take it 
  10. with you everywhere your Palm Pilot goes.

  12. We'd like to point out some new features in BibleReader version 3.0.

  16. NEW FEATURES IN READER 3.0
  17.  
  18. Interactive Toolbar
  19.  
  20. Every element on the interactive toolbar is live - tap anything to bring up 
  21. a feature of the BibleReader 3.0.
  22.  
  23. - Tap the Olive Tree to bring up the menus.
  24.  
  25. - Tap the version to bring up the Version Chooser; switch quickly between
  26.   versions!  When you switch versions, the Reader automatically opens the 
  27.   new version at the same verse. Also new: a shortcut for the Version Chooser
  28.   (^O) - write an uppercase O for Open Bible to switch between versions!
  29.  
  30. - Tap the book/verse to bring up the Verse Chooser.  Go quickly to any book, 
  31.   chapter or verse in the Bible.  Also new: a shortcut for the Verse Chooser
  32.   (^V) - write an uppercase V for the Verse Chooser to go to a verse instantly!

  34. - Tap the Find icon (magnifying glass) to bring up the Search screen. In the 
  35.   Search screen, swipe the stylus across the search word and write any search word 
  36.   or phrase in Graffiti.  Choose between Exact search (results match exactly), 
  37.   Ignore Case (results can be upper or lower case, e.g. Spirit or spirit), All 
  38.   Words (results contain all search words, e.g. an all words search for 
  39.   Christ King results in verses with the words Christ and King) or Any Words 
  40.   (results contain Christ or King).

  42.   Configure your own search ranges; for instance, Matt-John for the Gospels, 
  43.   Matt-Rev for the NT, or Psa-Pro for Psalms and Proverbs.  Just tap Range 1, 
  44.   2, 3, swipe the stylus across the existing range parameters, then write new 
  45.   parameters in with Graffiti. This is a great feature for studying specific 
  46.   books in the Bible!

  48. - Tap the FindNext icon (magnifying glass plus) to go to the next occurrence of a
  49.   search result in the text. Search results are highlighted in the text.

  51. - Tap the Bookmark icon to set or delete bookmarks in the text.  To select a verse 
  52.   for setting a bookmark, swipe the pen across any portion of the desired verse to 
  53.   highlight it.  Tap the Bookmark icon and Add Bookmark.  If no verse is selected, 
  54.   the first onscreen verse is bookmarked. 
  55.   To delete a bookmark, select the bookmark from the list; the BibleReader goes to 
  56.   that verse, then select "Delete Bookmark".

  58.   This is a great feature for following a spoken message, or bookmarking search 
  59.   results to go back and look at them later.

  63. Desktops
  64.  
  65.   Reader 3.0 has four different desktop options!  These desktops can be toggled
  66.   instantly with Graffiti shortcuts. You can also select the Desktop configuration
  67.   screen from the Edit menu (just tap that Olive Tree!).

  69.   The desktop shortcuts are 1, 2, 3, and 4; simply write a 1, 2, 3
  70.   or 4 to toggle between the desktops.

  72.   Desktop options are:

  74.   The Kalamata: The new toolbar and a full screen of text - the default desktop.

  77.   The Sicilian: A full screen of text with no toolbars for easier reading.  Tap the
  78.   first and last line of text to scroll. Shortcut:2

  80.   The Nicoise: The Kalamata plus the navigation toolbar from the Classic. Shortcut:3

  82.   The Classic:  The Classic Olive Tree Reader desktop with search field in the upper
  83.   right corner and navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.  Shortcut:4

  90.   We've taken the scrollbar function and applied it to the onscreen text.  Now, to 
  91.   scroll through text, tap the first or last line of onscreen text.  The BibleReader
  92.   text scrolls just like the scrollbar!  Set the preferences (scroll by one verse, two
  93.   verses, or whole screen) in the Preferences screen under Scrollbar preferences - 
  94.   Preferences are on the Edit menu (tap the Olive Tree!)
